About Andrew Dessler
Andrew Dessler is the co-author of The Science and Politics of Global Climate Change: A Guide to the Debate. Andrew is also a professor at Texas A &M University in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences. His research subject areas are climate systems research and climate change policy. He has a BA degree from Rice University and a PhD degree from Harvard University.
Dessler worked in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as a senior policy analyst. This is where he realized that policymakers and the general public have a misconception of climate change and the challenges we face as a society. Thus, the idea for his book was conceived.
